Teaching is the most respected profession across the world. India has a long-standing tradition of Guru-Shishya relationship where Guru is revered more than even God or one’s parents. To carry out the same veneration, Teachers’ day was celebrated at The Cambria International School with great pomp and jubilance , on the 7th of September to commemorate the birth anniversary of our second president Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan as well as pay homage to all the teachers.
The entire event was well carried by the members of the school students council which gave the teachers a break from their routine on that day which proceeded with the welcoming of the teachers to a colorfully decorated hall with ribbon cutting and handing over of memorable messages to all the teachers. This was followed by a speech by the Principal Mrs. Heena Falke ma’am who spoke about the significance of Teachers in one’s life. As the speech concluded, the cultural program began which included a comedy skit presented by the students of school council . Games were conducted for the teachers and prizes were distributed to the winners which included a breathtaking rampwalk by all the teachers. The celebrations continued with various games and a memorable felicitation by the School Management [ CMD- Mr. Bipin Pote Sir, Managing Trustee- Mrs. Minal Pote ma’am] to all the staff members, which also included felicitation of The Teacher of the Quarter after which the Honourable CMD of the school gave an efficacious speech with the motto – “ Teaching is the noble profession which creates other profession”.
After the formal program food was served and the entire program wrapped up with a memorable retrospect of the entire gesticulation given by the students as a sign of love and respect to the teachers as it is rightly said “ Education is the key to success in life and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students”.
