Makar Sankranti 2020
Makar Sankranti/ Uttarayan is also known as the harvest festival and kite festival full of joy and glory.
The name is derived with the significance that on this day, Sun moves into the house of Capricorn Zodiac. Hence the name – Makar, derived from Capricorn.
Sankranti means the movement of the earth from one zodiac to another. It marks the beginning of spring and the tail end of the winters.
Our little munchkin Cambrians were colorfully dressed and were made aware of Makar Sankranti festival and its different forms of celebration.
For us, we see our learners as kites spending time trying to get them off the ground, run with them until we are breathless, They crash... .we add a longer tail . . . We patch and comfort, adjust and teach. We watch them lifted by the wind and assure them that someday they'll fly.
