International Yoga Day

First time ever in the history of The Cambria International School International Yoga Day was celebrated on fun home School virtual sessions.

As we all know how Yoga plays a vital role in creating balance in our life. Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improve. Yoga helps kids to relax, relieve stress and anxiety, sleep better, improve emotional regulation, increase empathy, and improve mood and affect.

Practising yoga with kids also teaches them how to be more mindful, which happens to be just one of the many ways in which we can teach mindfulness to kids. It was all Fun yoga for them we performed blinking of eyes, neck rotation, shoulder movement, Mountain pose, Rainbow pose, cat pose, bird pose, breathing exercises, om chanting. Learners had fun performing the asanas. It was the most amazing experience for the parents to watch kids doing yoga with their teacher.

As these are the formative years of our learners, instilling the habit and introducing of yoga is just going to be very helpful in their holistic development.
