To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at The Cambria International School on 23rd August, 2019 with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colourful.

To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, a puppet show depicting the birth of Lord Krishna was performed and encouraged the students to have milk and milk products in their diet.

All children came in traditional dresses. Some boys came dressed as ‘Krishna’ and some girls came dressed as ‘Radha’. It was nonetheless brought to life by the scintillating dance performances by the teachers that represented His ‘Leelas’ and melodious song was sung on the childhood of Sri Krishna. The teachers explained the moral behind Matki Phod celebration and how as a human we can celebrate the festival without harming the nature.

Principal of the school blessed all the students on this auspicious day and gave them the message as always, looking ahead and the importance of team work.

A ‘Matki Phod’ event was also organized to mark the witty nature of ‘Bal Gopal’.At the end Children danced on the tunes of Dahi Handi Songs.
